Focus

01 Weight Management

Achieving an optimal weight for your specific makeup as an individual can be overwhelming. We believe that by implementing nutrition habits that optimize your health overall will be the best way to accomplish getting to a healthy weight for you. We focus on feeling good, not numbers on the scale. Usually when we change things in your diet to increase your health, optimal weight is a byproduct.

02 Cardiac

Heart health is very important to our overall health.  If you are struggling with high cholesterol or high blood pressure or have had a cardiac event, changing your diet, along with procedures and medications prescribed by your primary care physician, can increase your chances for a healthy heart and decrease your chances of life threatening cardiac situations.

03 Pre-Diabetes

If your physician has told you that you are pre-diabetic, we can work on ways to decrease and stabilize your blood sugar. For example, many food choices and meals timing can affect your blood sugar. Once you become familiar with these and put them into practice, it can dramatically impact your blood sugar, which in turn affects many other functions positively in your body.

04 Functional Foods

The term “Food is Medicine” was initially coined by Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, almost 2500 years ago. He also said, “Leave your drugs in the chemist’s pot if you can heal the patient with food.” While modern medicine has been beneficial and life-saving in many ways, nutrients in foods can help heal and prevent sickness. Learning which foods have the nutrients, you need for your health can support growth and healing.

05 Disease prevention

Incorporating a healthy diet that is personalized to you as an individual, taking into account your makeup, can help prevent illness and disease. We cannot change the DNA we were born with, but we can control our diet and lifestyle to a high degree. A personalized diet can help prevent things we may be predisposed to genetically. There is much evidence that a healthy diet can prevent many top health concerns.
